The Barrie Artisan Market, a beloved pop-up event celebrating local artisans and makers, is thrilled to announce its return to the Allandale Recreation Centre this Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Organized by Karalina Cosmin of Clay Creatively Inc., this special Mother's Day edition promises a day of creativity, community and fun for all ages.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to explore a diverse selection of handcrafted goods, ranging from woodwork and jewelry to artwork and home decor.
Admission to the market is free and the first 25 patrons through the door will receive a delightful swag bag filled with treats generously donated by participating vendors.
"We're excited to welcome back the Barrie Artisan Market for a day of celebrating creativity and supporting local talent," said Karalina Cosmin, organizer of the event. "It's the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts for Mother's Day while enjoying a fun-filled day with family and friends."
In addition to shopping, the market will feature a variety of engaging activities for children and adults alike. A dedicated kids craft zone, complete with a ball pit and scavenger hunt, will keep the little ones entertained throughout the day.
Sarah Smith, a local art therapist from Soulfull Art Therapy, will be on hand to lead free art therapy drop-in activities, offering a therapeutic outlet for those looking to unwind and tap into their creative side.
"We're thrilled to partner with Soulfull Art Therapy to provide free art therapy sessions at the market," said Cosmin. "It's a wonderful opportunity for individuals to explore the healing power of art in a supportive and welcoming environment."
Additionally, Maria Levadnia, founder of The Arts House, a local hub for all things artistic set to open in June, will be offering complimentary face painting for attendees of all ages. Levadnia's expertise and passion for the arts promise to add an extra touch of magic to the day's festivities.
