A journalist with 35 years experience in newspapers, Laurie is also an active volunteer in Barrie. The mom of two - an adult daughter with Autism and a younger son who plays rep soccer - Laurie loves to sing in her church choir, as well as advocate for better services for people with special needs. Laurie loves urban design, photographing buildings and nature and helping others discover the wonderful community that Barrie is.
