Mark's moving to new location at Park Place

Mark's is packing up and moving east — of Highway 400, that is.

The well-known casual and industrial Canadian clothing and footwear retailer — formerly known as Mark's Work Wearhouse — is packing up and moving its Caplan Avenue store in Barrie’s south end into a new location in Park Place, says Jody Crowe, representing parent company Canadian Tire.

At more than 20,000 square feet, the new store, which is slated to open in the spring of 2023, will be roughly the same size as the Caplan Avenue location, Crowe said.

The new location is expected to make the shopping experience easier and more accessible for customers, Crowe added.

“The new location puts us in a key retail node in this area," he said. "Our casual and industrial wear customers will find the new location accessible and convenient.

"Another benefit is being close to one of our other banners (SportChek) so customers can really get everything they need and rack up Triangle Rewards points,” Crowe added.

“We’re very excited for our customers to experience the new Mark’s. This upgraded store will provide a unique shopping experience with everything needed to keep Canadians warmer, drier, safer and more comfortable. … And help us fulfill our brand purpose that we are here to make life in Canada better.”
