The Gilbert Centre and Unicorn Feather Community are teaming up once again to present an amazing night of fun and gathering for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and those that support.
March 1 is the date, Five Points Theatre is the place, for the Bottoms Up Dance!
“There are very limited spaces at this time for the 2SLGBTQ+ community to gather safely and feel free to just be themselves,” explained Jay Mack from Gilbert Centre.
He added, “The Bottoms Up Dance is an event to celebrate the 2SLGBTQ+ community, while giving the community a safe space to enjoy connecting with community members, in a way that is fun and engaging.”
The Bottoms Up Dance is happening March 1 from 8 p.m. to midnight and is for 19 plus 2SLGBTQ+ folks and those that support them. There will be a fantastic DJ, prizes, drinks and refreshments, and mostly, lots of fun to be had in a safe, supportive community environment.
“Everyone can come out, have a good time, and be themselves, with no restrictions,” said Mack. “We are just really looking forward to a fun and celebratory good time. It’s going to be a great evening!”
Tickets for the Bottoms Up Dance are $19.50, including services fees and taxes, and are available online here.
Partial net proceeds from the dance will go to the Gilbert Centre and Barrie Pride, to continue to support 2SLGBTQ+ events and programming in the region.
“We had a very successful Rainbow Riot Comedy Night in January, at Five Points Theatre,” said Mack. “We are looking forward to the Bottoms Up Dance being just as fun, and just as successful! See everyone there!”
