The Barrie Police Service has been reaching out to the public and reminding them to always lock their vehicle doors when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Theft is preventable, and a locked door is your best defence at not becoming a victim.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at approximately 4 a.m., two males were observed on a home video surveillance system checking out vehicles parked in the driveways of two homes located on Varden Avenue in the east end of the City of Barrie.

Locked doors kept these suspects out, but police would like to know the identity of these two males.

The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect #1: male, white, mid-20s, black coat, black winter hat, jeans, black and white Adidas shoes.
  • Suspect #2: male, mid-20s, black vest, grey sweater with hood, black winter hat, and brown work boots.

Anyone with information on this suspicious incident is asked to contact Constable Smith of the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025, ext. 2718 or by email at [email protected]. You can also contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or leave an anonymous tip online.
