Worker airlifted to Toronto trauma centre after trench collapse in Bradford

Keswick man suffered serious injuries when the trench he was working in collapsed on him

A 32-year-old Keswick man was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after the trench he was working in collapsed trapping him under dirt and plywood around 2 p.m. on Reagens Industrial Parkway in Bradford.

The man was extricated by Bradford West Gwillimbury Firefighters and received initial treatment on scene from County of Simcoe Paramedics before being transported via Ornge Air Ambulance to a Toronto trauma centre.

The Ministry of Labour has been contacted and will be investigating.
