Wanted man coming home from California arrested at Toronto airport

TORONTO - A 42-year-old Bond Head man has been arrested at Pearson International Airport on an outstanding bench warrant from 2013.

On Saturday, Feb. 17, 2019 police were dispatched to Pearson International Airport in relation to a wanted person.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) was reporting that the accused had just arrived in Toronto on a flight from California and was being held based on his wanted status for an outstanding bench warrant held by South Simcoe Police Service.

South Simcoe Police Service officers attended the airport, placed the man under arrest and transported him to South Division.

The accused faces charges of drug possession, fail to attend court, fail to comply with undertaking and fail to comply with recognizance. The man was held for a show cause bail hearing.
