On March 4, 2021, two individuals entered the Optica Nova store, located at 555 Essa Rd. in Barrie. Taking turns to distract the employee assisting them, they proceeded to steal more than a dozen frames, valued at more than $5,000 retail.

The suspects are described as:
Male suspect
• Thin build
• Aged 25-30
• Wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt/jacket, jeans
• Tattoo on back of right hand
Female suspect
• Thin build
• Aged 25-30
• Light blond hair
• Wearing white jacket, jeans, and a pink baseball hat
