A 34-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with impaired driving and over 80 following after a single vehicle collision.

On Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020 around 5:20 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to the 5th Sideroad and 4th Line area of Innisfil regarding a vehicle in the ditch. Police detected an odour of alcohol when speaking to the driver, who was unhurt. She was arrested and transported to South Division where breath tests resulted in readings over three times the legal limit of alcohol. A 34-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with impaired driving and over 80.

Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.

There are many options to avoid driving impaired but there is absolutely no excuse. We will continue to keep watch for people who choose to drive drunk or high. Please continue to be vigilant with us in our efforts for road safety.
