Barrie Police were called to the area of Lockhart Road and Saunders Road in Barrie's south end industrial complex for reports of a single motor vehicle colliding into a snow bank.

On arrival police had to break into the vehicle to free the driver, a 31-year-old Barrie woman, from the car. The driver was unconscious but breathing and transported to The Royal Victoria Regional Health Center for assessment.

The female was treated for only minor injuries and police investigated her for impaired driving. The woman was determined to have over four times the legal limit of alcohol in her blood and was charged accordingly. She was released at the hospital with an appearance notice for a future court date.
