UPDATE: Missing Cookstown youths may be headed to GTA, police say

South Simcoe police say the youths may have been seen 'in good health' in the south end of Barrie Saturday afternoon

Editor's note: This story was updated on Dec. 1 to include new information on the suspected whereabouts of the youth and a second photo of the first youth. 

South Simcoe police are searching for two youths who went missing from a home on the 5th Sideroad, south of Highway 89, near Cookstown. 

This incident was reported in the late evening of Nov. 29. A police search of the area, which included the assistance of the K9 unit, did not locate the youths.

Police believe the pair was seen Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. in the south end of Barrie.

"The pair were in good health," the department said in a social-media post Saturday. "Police believe the youth could be destined for the (Greater Toronto Area) and possibly as far as Hamilton."

The first youth is named Lillyanna. She is described as white, five-feet, seven-inches tall, with dark brown hair that reaches her chin. She was last seen wearing a dark coat and black leggings, and was carrying a backpack.

The second youth is named Evan. He is described as white, blond and about five-feet, six-inches tall. He was wearing a red sweater and red plaid pants.
