INNISFIL - Six people have been transported to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Innisfil.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 around 10:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers along with Innisfil Fire and Rescue Service and County of Simcoe Paramedics responded to a two-vehicle collision on the 9th Line between Yonge Street and 10 Sideroad.

Three adults and three children were injured.

One patient was airlifted by Ornge Air Ambulance from the scene to a Toronto trauma centre.

A second patient was transported by Ornge from a local hospital to a Toronto trauma centre.

The injuries of those transported via Ornge are considered critical.

The Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are on scene investigating the cause of the collision.

The 9th Line between Yonge Street and 10 Sideroad will be closed for several hours. Please avoid the area.
