Two pedestrians struck on Veterans Dr.; one suffers serious injuries

Two pedestrians were struck on Veterans Drive between Caplan Avenue and Harvie Road in south-end Barrie on Wednesday evening. One person suffered serious injuries.

Two pedestrians were struck on Veterans Drive this evening (Oct. 30), leaving one with serious injuries, according to Barrie police.

As of 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Veterans Drive was closed between Caplan Avenue and Harvie Road for the ongoing investigation.

Officers received the call at approximately 6:15 p.m.

Police say the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene.

"It looks like one person was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, the other may have been treated on scene by paramedics," Barrie police communications co-ordinator Jennett Mays told BarrieToday.
