Crews pull a truck from the City of Barrie Marina boat launch on Wednesday.

Emergency crews were on scene this afternoon to pull a vehicle from the water at the City of Barrie Marina boat launch.

No injuries were reported, according to city police.

A man in his 90s was able to get out of the vehicle safely.

Barrie Fire and Emergency Services had to use a winch to pull the pickup truck from the Lakeshore Drive marina on Wednesday afternoon.

Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon said the call came in at 1:21 pm.

While the investigation is ongoing, it doesn’t appear to be “anything other than possibly mechanical malfunction or driver error.”
