NEW TECUMSETH - The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a break and enter at the Town of New Tecumseth building.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2020, officers responded to a Break and Enter call at the Town of New Tecumseth building located on Mill Street West, in Tottenham. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime over the Easter long weekend.

It has been reported that thousands of dollars' worth of gas-powered equipment has been stolen, including a gas generator, leaf blowers, chain saws, pull saws and various other items belonging to the Township.

Property crimes such as these impact our community as a whole. Investigators are appealing to the public for any information related to this incident or anyone who resides near the building that may have video footage of the suspect(s) or vehicle(s).

 Anyone with information regarding criminal activity is asked to contact the Nottawasaga OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). When you contact Crime Stoppers you remain anonymous, you will never have to testify and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
