St. Vincent Street store robbed at gunpoint this morning (6 photos)

Robbery happened shortly before 2 a.m. at 149 St. Vincent St.

Barrie Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store on St. Vincent Street in Barrie early this morning.

On Friday, June 14, 2019, just before 2 a.m., the suspect entered a convenience store located at 149 St. Vincent St., in Barrie.

The suspect displayed a gun and demanded that the clerk open the till.

The suspect obtained a quantity of cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot towards Duckworth Street. The employee was not physically injured as a result of the incident.

Police are now seeking the assistance of the community in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as:
• Male, black
• Approximately 6”0” tall
• Medium build

The suspect was wearing:
• Black baseball cap with a black design on the front (possibly a “Jordan Jumpman” hat)
• Black hooded sweatshirt
• Black pants with zipper or chain on left pocket
• Black bandana with white pattern covering his face
• Black shoes with a tag on the heel
• White glove on left hand, no glove on right hand
