South Simcoe Police looking to identify theft suspect (3 photos)

Bradford - South Simcoe Police Service is seeking the public's help identifying a suspect after two large shoplifting incidents in Bradford.

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, around 8:00 p.m., a man arrived at a grocery store in the 10th Sideroad and Line 6 area.

Video surveillance showed the man filling a shopping cart with groceries.

He made no attempt to pay and left the store.

The suspect is seen in security footage in the parking lot loading the groceries into a vehicle with a second person who appears to be helping.

On Monday, June 18, 2018 around 8:00 p.m., the same suspect returned to the same store and stole a large number of items. 

He once again left without attempting to pay and loaded the stolen groceries into a vehicle with the help of a second person.

The suspect was at the grocery store a third time on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 around 8:00 p.m. but left empty-handed after being scared off by employees who were watching him.

On that day, the suspect had changed his appearance by shaving his head but was still recognizable to staff. 

The total value of the thefts is several thousand dollars. 

The suspect is described as white, 40-50 years old, with short black curly hair, black rimmed glasses and a medium build.
