(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) - On February 6, 2019 at approximately 8:57 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a single motor vehicle on Vigo Rd. and Flos Road Six.
Upon arrival Police discovered that the driver of the above motor vehicle was operating it while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequently Police charged A 53 year old female, to learn shortly after that she had provided false information.
53 year old Mary PATTERSON of Wasaga Beach was charged with:
- CC 320.14(1)(a) - Operation while impaired
- CC 320.14(1)(b) - Blood alcohol concentration 80 or more
- CC 403(1)(d) - Adult Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice
- HTA 53(1) - Adult Drive while under suspension
- HTA 199(1) - Adult Fail to report accident
- HTA 7(5)(a) Adult Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
- CAIA 3(1) - Adult Fail to surrender insurance card
First appearance for the accused is March 5, 2019 in Collingwood Court of Justice.
