A serious accident at a construction site has forced the closure of Dunlop Street West near Anne Street.
Barrie police have closed Dunlop Street West between Anne and Eccles streets to vehicular traffic.
Witnesses say a beam fell. An ORNGE air ambulance had also attended the scene.
An officer at the scene told BarrieToday someone had been severely injured, but provided no other details
Ministry of Labour is on scene for the investigation.
