Security foils 'brazen' $1,450 theft from Zehrs

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect who is wanted for a theft from Zehrs, located at 620 Yonge Street, in the City of Barrie.

On Sunday February 26, 2017, just after 3:30 p.m. a woman was captured on video surveillance brazenly by-passing cashiers, and making no attempt to pay for the various groceries, electronics and cosmetics products she had selected.

The woman was stopped outside by a loss prevention officer, although refused to cooperate and fled on foot. The items were recovered and the total is estimated at $1,450. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as;

  • Female, white
  • Medium build, 5’5”
  • Long brown hair
  • Glasses – brown frame
  • Wearing a black “ECKO” zip-up sweater and blue jeans.
