Safety not compromised following threats at Bradford high school: police

BRADFORD — On Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service was notified regarding two separate, unrelated reports of threats regarding a high school in Bradford.  

Through investigation in conjunction with the school, officers and school officials were able to assess and deal with the situation and determine public safety was not compromised.  

The students responsible have been spoken to by both the school and police.  

In the days following these two incidents, there has been much speculation and comment on social media causing heightened anxiety in the community. We are continuing to liaise with the school.

South Simcoe Police Service takes these threats seriously and responds accordingly.
