TOWNSHIP OF ESSA - At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the scene of a residential fire on 5th Line, Essa Township.
Officers arrived on scene and located a residential trailer engulfed in fire. The Township of Essa Fire Service also responded to the location. Three occupants of the trailer were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The 5th Line of Essa between Gold Park Gate and Centre Street was closed while fire services were in attendance and has since re-opened.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
