Police trying to identify south-end mischief suspect

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after a mischief was reported in the City of Barrie.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a resident of Barrie was traveling on Big Bay Point Road when two unknown male stepped onto the road and were nearly struck by the victim’s sport utility vehicle.

One of the involved males proceeded to shout obscenities towards the driver of the SUV and then kicked the driver’s side door causing significant damage to it.

The suspect promptly left the area on foot with the other male who was with him, however, the image of the suspect police wish to identify was captured by dash camera before he fled.

The suspect is described as: male, white, 5'8", 165 lbs, thin build, approximately 20 years old, no facial hair and strawberry blonde medium length hair.
