Police stop fishtailing driver. Charges ensue

TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH - On Jan. 18, 2020, at approximately 11:13 p.m., a member of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting routine patrols in the area of Church Street and Gray Avenue.

The officer observed a motorist fishtail around the intersection and subsequently conducted a traffic stop. Jason Dyer, 33 years of age, from New Tecumseth, has been charged with Impaired Driving and Operation while Impaired-Over 80mg.

The G2 driver was also issued a 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impound.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on Feb. 27, 2020, to answer to the charge.
