Police seek suspect in No Frills theft

Suspect threw the item at the loss prevention officer and fled the area on foot

Police have obtained video surveillance from a theft that occurred on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 at NoFrills located at 165 Wellington Street, in the City of Barrie, and are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.

The male paid for several items he had selected, although was stopped by loss prevention for an item he had concealed inside his jacket.

The loss prevention officer attempted to stop the male, which prompted the suspect to throw the item at the loss prevention officer and flee the area on foot.

Police are looking to speak with the suspect. He is described as;

  • Male, white
  • 35 to 40 years
  • Wearing a black toque and a grey and blue Columbia jacket.
