Police are asking the public to help find a man who has been trespassing at night

INNISFIL, ON - Detectives from the South Simcoe Police are seeking assistance from the public locating a person of interest who has been trespassing at night in residential backyards in the southwest area of Alcona.

One witness has described the person of interest as:

  • Male white
  • Thin build
  • Unknown age
  • Approximately 6'0"
  • Wearing dark coloured clothing and a hoodie.

Anyone having knowledge of these incidents or has had a similar incident occur at their residence is asked to contact South Simcoe Police at (705) 436-2141.

The Criminal Code makes it an offence to loiter or prowl at night on the property of another person near a dwelling-house situated on that property.

"Night" is defined by the Criminal Code as between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 am.

"Dwelling-house" is defined by the Criminal Code as a permanent or temporary residence and anything attached to it.
