Missing Midland Woman Located in Provincial Park
On Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, missing 26 year old Midland woman, Eva Rozitis, was located deceased in Awenda Provincial Park, Tiny, Ontario.
Eva Rozitis was reported missing to Midland Police late on November 14 after failing to return home. At dawn, Tuesday, November 15, an extensive search of Awenda Provincial Park commenced by members of the Ontario Provincial Police by land, water and air.
The cause of death of Eva Rozitis is unknown at this time pending post mortem examination and the investigation is continuing. Foul play is not suspected.

Photo of Eva Rozitis taken Nov. 14, 2016. Photo provided by OPPFurther investigation reveals that two or three vehicles may have been parked beside or near the red Toyota Yaris that belongs to the missing female on the morning of Nov. 14, 2016.
Anyone who may have been parked in the Trail centre/ Amphitheatre parking lot at Awenda Park the morning of Nov. 14, 2016 and has any information is asked to call police.
Police are concerned for her wellbeing as she is required to take medication on a daily basis.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance. If anyone was in the area of Awenda Park on November 14, 2016 and has any information they are asked to contact Southern Georgian Bay OPP 705-526-3761 or Orillia communications 1-888-310-1122.

10 a.m. update
The Southern Georgian Bay OPP would like to advise the public that volunteers involved in this search are members of the Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue Team.
These are civilian members who are trained to assist in Search and Rescue. At this time the OPP is not requesting the assistance of the general public for this search.

Nov. 15 original release
TINY TOWNSHIP - On Nov. 15, 2016, at approximately 1:17 a.m., Southern Georgian Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a request from Midland Police Service to assist with a missing person investigation.
On Nov. 14, 2016, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Eva Rozitis, (age 26) of Midland, Ont., was reported missing to Midland Police Service who then entered into a missing person investigation.
Further investigation by Midland Police Service resulted in her vehicle being located at Awenda Provincial Park in Tiny Township. Further investigation by Southern Georgian Bay OPP revealed that her red Toyota Yaris was parked at the park on Nov. 14, 2016 at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Central Region OPP Emergency Response Team members, OPP Helicopter, Southern Georgian Bay Crime Unit, Southern Georgian Bay Marine unit and front line officers are currently searching for Ms. Rozitis in the Awenda Provincial Park area. In addition to police resources a local volunteer search and rescue team is also in the park.
She is described as Caucasian female, 5’10” with a slim build, blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a dark coloured outer shell jacket, yoga pants, black and purple coloured hiking boots and a purple and black backpack.
Police are concerned for her wellbeing as she is required to take medication on a daily basis.
