Police seek assistance identifying theft suspect

A suspect was caught on video surveillance leaving Shoppers Drug with a 32” RCA television that he made no attempt to purchase

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect following a theft that occurred at Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 165 Wellington St., in the City of Barrie.

On Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, just after 8:30 p.m., a suspect was caught on video surveillance leaving Shoppers Drug with a 32” RCA television that he made no attempt to purchase.

The following week, on Tuesday, Sept. 19, just after 9 p.m., the suspect returned for a second time and managed to leave the store undetected with another RCA television and an unknown quantity of iHome speakers.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as;

  • Male, white (30 to 35 yrs.)
  • Medium build
  • Blond hair, short
  • Wearing a blue/black Nike jacket, blue Puma shirt, black jogging pants and white running shoes with red laces.
