INNISFIL - Summer is the season for crimes of opportunity making it even more important to secure your homes and property.

South Simcoe Police received two separate calls on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 for thefts from outside homes overnight.

A red, stand-up paddle board that was left in a side yard in Innisfil was stolen.

In the second case, an unlocked pink and purple youth mountain bike vanished from a Bradford home. The thief left a black mountain bike in poor condition in place of the stolen bike.

A great way to see if your home is as safe as possible is to conduct your own security review via the Government of Ontario's Home Security Audit.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, South Simcoe Police Service responded to 87 calls for service.
