Police release names of accused in Friday's incident in Orillia

Members of the Orillia Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) together with other specialized OPP units executed a search warrant at a Forest Avenue home, shortly after 6:30 p.m., Friday evening.

UPDATE

Five people have been taken into police custody and charges are listed as follows:

 Maveryk DARLING, 18-year-old from York, Ontario is charged with:

• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm

• Careless Storage of a Firearm

• Breach of Youth Court Probation (four counts)

Lesmar LESLIE, 21-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario is charged with:

• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm

• Careless Storage of a Firearm

Garnet SERAPHINE, 23-year-old from North York, Ontario is charged with:

• Unauthorized Possession for a Prohibited Firearm

• Careless Storage of a Firearm

• Breach of Undertaking (two counts)

Nigel SERAPHINE, 20-year-old from North York, Ontario is charged with:

• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm

• Careless Storage of a Firearm

• Possession of a Firearm while prohibited

• Possession of a Controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)

• Possession of a Controlled substance (cocaine)

• Breach of Probation

Carrie Lynne WADE, 43-year-old from Orillia, Ontario is charged with:

• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm

• Careless Storage of a Firearm

All of the accused persons have been remanded into custody pending a show cause hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, Ontario.
