Police look to identify fraud suspect

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after a report was received involving a male who had attended two financial institutions in the City of Barrie and (is alleged to have) fraudulently obtained money.

(It is alleged that) on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, an unknown male suspect entered two Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) locations in the City of Barrie and presented fraudulent identification. This allowed the individual to gain access to another person’s bank account which resulted in the withdrawal of funds on both occasions.

The suspect, who police are attempting to identify and whose image was captured on video surveillance, is described as male white, 50-60 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, dark hair, unshaven, wearing glasses, dark pants, black suit jacket and a white shirt.
