Police look to identify convenience store theft suspect

The Barrie Police is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect following a theft.

On Sunday, May 20, 2018, police were called to a convenience store located on Owen Street in the City of Barrie for a report of a theft. The suspect had entered the store requesting to purchase a lottery ticket. Upon the clerk presenting the lottery tickets, the suspect quickly grab numerous tickets and ran out of the store. He was observed by witnesses fleeing the area in a silver hatchback.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as:
    •    Male, black
    •    Slim build
    •    Black goatee
    •    Wearing a blue suit, white shirt and a fedora hat
