BARRIE POLICE SERVICE

Over the past seven weeks, the Barrie Police Service has been appealing to the public for assistance after a number of Shoppers Drug Mart stores in the City of Barrie have been targeted by a group of females who have been stealing expensive perfume and cologne scented products.
In total, there have been eight theft occurrences (including the one below) reported to police in which the combined efforts of these thieves has netted them in excess of $6,000 in scented fragrances. In addition, the Barrie Police Service has learned that this same group is believed to be responsible for other occurrences of a similar nature that have taken place across Simcoe County and the Greater Toronto Area.
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at approximately 9 p.m., three females entered the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 165 Wellington St. and proceeded to the fragrance section of the store where they selected a number of products and placed them into bags that they were carrying. The females then left the store without paying for the items that they selected. The items stolen were valued in excess of $2,100.
From the investigation that followed and with the assistance of store staff and surveillance video which captured the incident, police are able to provide the following suspect descriptions:
Suspect #1: Female, black, approximately 5'8", mid 20s, approx. 130 lbs, slim, wearing an all-white Puma track suit, black hair tied back in a bun, brown eyes, large silver hoop earrings, brown purse holding a black jacket.
Suspect #2: Female, black, approximately 30 years old, approximately 160-170 lbs, heavy build, brown eyes, large silver hoop earrings, wearing a black track suit with a white line up the side of the legs and wearing a silver jacket, also carrying a dark grey purse.
Suspect #3: Female, black. approximately 5'6", mid 20s, approximately 130 lbs, medium build, black hair ties back in a bun wearing a white track suit, wearing black winter boots, black jacket with brown fur around the hood with a black purse.
