Homeowner confined to basement during early morning break-in

South Simcoe Police Service officers are investigating a break and enter at an Innisfil home.

On Wednesday, July 18, 2018 around 8 a.m., police were called to a home in the Big Bay Point and 20th Sideroad area.

A 43-year-old man told police that two suspects entered his home around 5 a.m. The man said he was confined to the basement while the suspects were upstairs.

After the suspects left, the man went to a neighbour's house and police were called. The man was not physically hurt.

Police are looking for two suspects who fled in an unknown direction.

Suspect 1: male, white, about 35 years old, dark buzzed hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, blue jeans and black leather gloves.

Suspect #2: male, white, about 35 years old, with dark hair that's a little longer than the first suspect. He was wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans and spoke English with no accent.
