Police hope to identify Canadian Tire theft suspect

The Barrie Police is appealing to the public for assistance after a theft was reported in the City of Barrie.

On Friday, Oct, 19, 2018, police attended to the Canadian Tire store located at 320 Bayfield St. after it was determined that a male had left the store without paying for a boxed power tool.

After a review closed circuit television (CCTV), store security confirmed that on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at 11:15 a.m., a lone male suspect left the store without paying for a Bostitch roofing style nail gun. The nail gun is powered by compressed air and is valued in excess of $350.

The suspect is described as male white, approximately 20 years, thin build, dark hair with sideburns, grey baseball cap on backwards, black hoodie with the letters "SJ", backpack, black pants and black boots.
