Police ask for information on a June 9 theft from Canadian Tire store

Barrie Police Service is currently looking for the public's assistance in locating a male who fled a Loss Prevention Officer after walking straight out the front door with power tools valued at over $300.

On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 3:55 p.m. the suspect entered Canadian Tire located at 320 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie. The suspect selected a Dewalt 20v XR Drill and Driver combo kit off the shelf and left the store failing to pay for the item.

The Loss Prevention Officer stopped the male and recovered the stolen merchandise however the suspect fled on foot towards Coulter Street. 

Description:

  • Male, white
  • 30 to 40-years-old
  • Short, light brown/blonde hair and blonde goatee
  • 5'10"
  • Full sleeve tattoo on both arms
  • Mark or scar above right eye
  • Wearing a red American Eagle T-shirt, dark coloured shorts and white running shoes
