Police appeal for witnesses to suspicious Canada Day fire

BRADFORD - South Simcoe Police Service officers are appealing for information and security camera footage in the investigation of a fire at a home in Bradford.

On Sunday, July 1, 2018, around 4 a.m., police and Bradford West-Gwillimbury Fire responded to a report of a fire at the home on Moore Street.

Police are treating the fire as criminally suspicious. Investigation has revealed the actual time of the blaze was between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on July 1, 2018.

No one was injured and the damage estimate is not yet known.

Anyone with information regarding this fire is asked to call us at 705-426-2141, 905-775-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS). Investigators are particularly interested in obtaining security camera video from citizens in the area from the early morning hours of Canada Day, July 1, 2018.
