Two people were injured in a fiery crash this morning on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte, halfway between Barrie and Orillia.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., Sept. 29, emergency crews responded to a collision south of Line 7 involving a pickup truck and a dump truck that was loaded with gravel. The dump truck caught fire, Orillia OPP said in a news release.
The driver of the dump truck received minor injuries, but the pickup truck driver was seriously injured.
Highway 11 South was closed for cleanup and has since reopened.
