The Barrie Police is appealing to the public for assistance after a motor vehicle was stolen in the City of Barrie.

On Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018 at 6:20 a.m., the owner of a motor vehicle exited his car and left the keys behind as he went into a St. Vincent Street business. When he returned, the car was missing and was reported stolen.

Police are attempting to locate the whereabouts of a 2015 Toyota Corolla, four-door, black in colour, with an Ontario licence plate of BRVR 823. The vehicle also has had a novelty plate attached to the front which reads “First In, Last Out.” It is not known which direction the vehicle was driven away from the business as there are no known witnesses.

The Barrie Police Service is reminding the public to never leave your motor vehicle unattended with the keys in it or as the colder weather approaches, to leave it running.
