Orangeville woman dies after vehicle crashes into Hockley Valley building

MONO - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called at approximately 4 a.m. on Aug. 24, 2019, to respond to a single motor vehicle collision into a building.

When officers arrived on scene at Hockley Valley Road and Mono-Adjala Townline, they observed a Mazda inside of the Hockley General Store.

Police located a lone female driver who had sustained life-threatening injuries. 

The 26-year-old woman of Orangeville, Ont., was transported to a local area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. 

Multiple OPP Technical Collision Investigators have been dispatched to the scene causing the intersection to be closed until later this afternoon.
