OPP BARRIE DETACHMENT

Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Veronica Eaton compliments all teams involved (Oro-Medonte Township Fire, The County of Simcoe Paramedic Services, Odyssey Medical Staff and the Burl’s Creek On Site Security) in the Boots & Hearts Concert Event held at Burl's Creek Family Event Grounds from Wednesday August 3rd to Monday August 8th, 2016.
Over the course of the event, OPP Members responded to 90 Calls for Service on the Burl’s Creek Event Grounds, which included anything from medical assistance to mischief and drug related offences to minor thefts.
The traffic plan was deemed successful and cottage country traffic did not show any affects from the increase in traffic.
Barrie OPP Detachment would like to thank the community for their patience, leading up to and including the days during the event.
