TAY TOWNSHIP – Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle and are asking for the public’s assistance in solving this crime.

On Dec. 28, 2016 between 12:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. a beige 2002 Toyota Camry was stolen from the driveway of a residence on McNicoll Street in Port McNicoll ON.

On Jan. 5, 2017 this stolen vehicle was recovered by Barrie Police Service in the City of Barrie, ON. A 29-year-old-male from Barrie has been arrested in relation to this incident.

The investigation is continuing and information will be provided as it becomes available.
