One person has been taken to hospital after a morning crash between an SUV and a City of Barrie transit bus.
Barrie police, fire and paramedics were on scene shortly before 9 a.m., Monday, after a white SUV and the bus collided at the intersection of Ross Street and Maple Avenue in downtown Barrie.
“One person from the vehicle was taken to local hospital with minor injuries and it appears to be more precautionary than anything,” said police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon.
While traffic unit officers are on the scene to investigate, preliminary notes indicate it appears the driver of the vehicle turned into the bus, Leon said.
A tow truck was also on scene to remove the vehicle, and no one on the bus was injured.
