Update

Police have released the name of the person who died in a collision Monday on Winhara Road at Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge.

Lawrence Tomblin, 77, of Gravenhurst, was killed in the two-vehicle collision that occurred at about 1:40 p.m.

The investigation is continuing, and police said more details will be released when they are available.

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Bracebridge this afternoon.

Bracebridge OPP, along with paramedics and members of the Bracebridge Fire Department, responded to a two-vehicle collision Monday at 1:40 p.m. that occurred on Winhara Road at Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge.

One person was transported to an area hospital, however life-saving efforts were unsuccessful.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team. The area will be closed to traffic during the investigation, police say.
