BRADFORD — A 53-year-old Bradford man will be walking over the holidays after he was pulled over by a R.I.D.E. officer on Mary Street around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.

While speaking with the man, the officer detected alcohol on his breath.

The constable attempted to arrest the man for impaired driving, but the man refused to cooperate and kicked the officer in the leg.

The man was eventually brought under control, arrested for impaired driving and taken to the South Division in Bradford for a Breathalyzer test.

As a result, the man's drivers licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded.

The man will be appearing in Bradford Court on December 29, 2016 facing charges of impaired driving, driving over 80mgs and assault with intent to resist arrest.

The officer was not injured in the incident.
