BARRIE – An 18-year-old woman had her licence suspended after being stopped at a joint RIDE check involving South Simcoe Police Service officers and the OPP.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, just after 1 a.m., a vehicle was stopped at a RIDE check at Highway 400 and the Dunlop Street ramp in Barrie.
Officers detected an odour of alcohol and demanded a breath sample. As a result, the driver's licence was suspended for three days. She was also charged with being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol concentration above zero.
