No injuries reported as police apprehend man under Mental Health Act

Accused will face charges from the Ontario Provincial Police

A 37-year-old Innisfil man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act after South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a home in Innisfil.

On Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020 around 9:45 a.m., police began liaising with Ontario Provincial Police in northern Ontario regarding a domestic incident. The investigation led South Simcoe Police Service to a home in the 10th Line and Glen Cedar Crescent area of Innisfil. A 37-year-old man was apprehended without incident under the Mental Health Act and will face charges from the Ontario Provincial Police.

There were no injuries.
