Mobile cannabis delivery service driver arrested in Muskoka

Police say search yielded in excess of $10,000 worth of illicit cannabis products, including 1,680 grams of edibles and 16 disposal vape pens

More than $10,000 worth of illicit cannabis, some cash, and a collapsible baton were seized by OPP after arresting a moible cannabis delivery driver.

In February 2021 the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into mobile cannabis delivery service operating throughout the Muskoka Region.

On Feb. 19, 2021, the service was observed making a number of stops from Gravenhurst to Huntsville. The Muskoka CSCU arrested the delivery driver, and a search yielded in excess of $10,000 worth of illicit cannabis products including 986 grams of dried cannabis flower, 6 grams of hash, 5 grams of cannabis resin, 1680 grams of edibles, 16 disposal vape pens, $530 cash, tinctures, a collapsible baton and 1 cellphone.

Adrian Stein, 42, of Toronto, Ontario is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling s. 10(2) of the Cannabis Act
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 s. 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon s. 93(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released on an Undertaking to appear in the Ontario court of Justice in Huntsville, Ontario on April 7, 2021.
