On Friday, August 19, 2016, at approximately 6:10 a.m., Barrie Police received information that a 32-year-old male was going to damage Barrie Police property to intentionally get arrested in an effort to transport drugs to a nearby Correctional Facility.

The same male then attended the Petro Canada Gas Station on Street Vincent Street and caused mischief to the store by throwing around food and other products.

Barrie Police responded and placed the intoxicated male under arrest. A thorough search was conducted which confirmed that the male did not have any drugs on him prior to being held for a bail hearing.
