Man arrested after Innisfil home broken into twice in one night

Police say the suspect is known to the victim; Innisfil man, 27, faces mischief and trespassing charges

INNISFIL - A 27-year-old Innisfil man was charged with mischief and trespassing after South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to a home twice last night for reports of attempted break and enters.

On Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, around 6 p.m., police were called to a report of a man possibly armed with a firearm attempting to break into a home in the 7th Line and 10 Sideroad area of Innisfil.  

The suspect, who was known to the victims, was not located.

At 9 p.m. officers cleared the scene.

At 9:42 p.m., police were called back to the home for a second report of an attempted break in.  

A suspect was located on the property at 1:30 a.m. and arrested. No firearms were recovered.  

A 27-year-old Innisfil man was charged with mischief and trespassing. He was released from police custody with conditions and a future court date.
